Biomechanics/Anatomy & physiology of PranayamaMASTER CLASS
Sunday 12th of September / 11:30am - 1:30pm Workshop in English and Spanish We all had read and felt the benefits of Pranayamas, we practice everyday, many books mention how to perform them and lots of videos talk about them. Still the technical aspects are not very clear for most of the teachers, therefore the students and of course scientists. It is not easy to understand and transmit something that we do not see moving like our arms or legs. Wim Hof, professional divers or James Nestor book ( BREATHE )... they all talk about Breathing techniques and explain certain aspects of the extensive variety and modalities. The Rhythm of the breathe, the side of the nostril where you breath trough, the coherence with heart, the inhales, the exhales, the retention... there is still a lot to research about. And we as Yoga teachers with an experience on the daily practice can help modern Science to make Yoga a powerful tool for people's Well Being. It is quite recent that is has been discovered the enormous potential that breathing techniques have for Mental Health, the Body structure and posture or the biochemical changes to the physiology of our human body. It has even become mainstream. The goal of this workshop is to Master the anatomy that supports this moves, the muscles and tissues that make it possible. We will pay attention to the relationship and impact on the soft tissues that are affected during the performance. This aspects will empower your awareness for your practice therefore your ability and knowledge to help other people and will bring more credibility to your words and methods with other health professionals. Take your yoga education to the next level. |
