Rubén completed his 200hr yoga teacher training in September 2016. Prior to yoga he was a registered high performance athlete participating in countless competitions and races. He soon realized the physical issues from repetitive sport routines, and was drawn to seek out alternative activities to improve his performance and help in recover from injuries he had indured. He began with Qi-Gong and Anti-Gymnastics later, which finally led him to the world of yoga and its many benefits, not only with aligning the body, but the calming effects of meditation.
A few months after starting his training and leaving behind 15 years working in international trade, Rubén started a journey over several months that took him to explore India, Nepal and Thailand. He attended a number of different trainings related to Yoga and bodywork in Goa, Mysore and then finally, he decided to settle in Chiang Mai (Thailand) where he obtained a certification in Traditional Thai Massage in the prestigious Sunshine Massage School under the direction of Professor Dot Po.
Rubén received his 200hr YTT Certificate as an advanced Vinyasa Yoga and Realign Teacher in February 2018 from Amanda Dee
